A.\u00a0<\/span>THE HOLY SCRIPTURES<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We believe the 66 books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matt. 5:18; John 16:12-13)<\/p>\n

B.\u00a0THE GODHEAD<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe in the one triune God, eternally existing in three persons \u2013Father, Son and Holy Spirit \u2013 coeternal in Being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfections.\u00a0(Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14)<\/p>\n

C.\u00a0THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem mankind. (Jn. 1:1-2, 14; Lk. 1:35)<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His actual, physical resurrection from the dead.\u00a0(Rom. 3:24; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 2:24; Eph. 1:7)<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate.\u00a0(Acts 1:9-10; Heb. 7:25; Rom. 8:34; 1 Jn. 2:1-2)<\/p>\n

D.\u00a0THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. We believe that He is the supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ at the moment of salvation and sealing them unto the day of redemption. (Jn. 16:8-11; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 3:5; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 1:1-14; Titus 3:5)<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0We believe that He is the Divine Teacher Who guides believers into all truth and that He empowers them for service. It is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit.\u00a0(Jn. 16:13; Acts. 1:8; Eph. 5:18; 1 Jn. 2:20)<\/p>\n

E.\u00a0THE TOTAL DEPRAVITY OF MAN<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam\u2019s sin the race fell. Because of this fall, man became alienated from God and inherited a sinful nature. We believe that man is totally depraved and, of himself, is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:22-23;5:12; Eph. 2:1-3,12)<\/p>\n

F.\u00a0SALVATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to mankind by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins.(Jn. 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Acts 4:12)<\/p>\n

G.\u00a0ASSURANCE OF BELIEVERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God\u2019s Word that, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as a license to pursue sin. (Rom. 13:13-14; Gal. 5:13; Titus 2:11-15)<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God\u2019s power through Christ and can never be lost.\u00a0(Jn. 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Rom. 8:1-8, 38-39; 1 Cor. 1:4-8; 1 Pet. 1:5)<\/p>\n

H.\u00a0THE TWO NATURES OF THE BELIEVER<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that every saved person possesses two natures. Provision is made for victory of the new nature over the old through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. All claims to the eradication of the old nature in this life are unscriptural.\u00a0(Rom. 6:13; 8:12-13; Gal. 5:16-25; Eph. 4:22-24; Col. 3:10; 1 Pet. 1:14-16; 1 Jn. 3:5-9)<\/p>\n

I.\u00a0SEPARATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that every saved person should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded by God.\u00a0(Rom. 12:1-2; 14:13; 2 Cor. 6:17; 7:1; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 1 Jn. 2:15-17; 2 Jn. 1:9-11)<\/p>\n

J.\u00a0MISSION<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that it is the responsibility of every saved person to live a life consistent with the truths of the Holy Scriptures and to seek to actively proclaim the Gospel to all mankind.\u00a0(Mk. 16:15; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:19-20)<\/p>\n

K.\u00a0THE CHURCH<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that the Church, which is the Body and espoused Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons. (1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 11:2; Acts 1:6-8; Eph. 1:22-23; 1 Thess. 4:16-18)<\/p>\n

L.\u00a0THE RETURN OF THE LORD<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that the Church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air\u00a0before\u00a0<\/em>He appears to set up His earthly kingdom.\u00a0(1Thess. 4:16-18)<\/p>\n

M.\u00a0HUMAN SEXUALITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God\u2019s gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one\u2019s gender by surgery or appearance. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13; Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; I Cor. 5:1; 6:9; I Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4)<\/p>\n

2. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; I Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
